Use Ghosts in Claude (MCP).
Connect the Ghosts MCP server to Claude and run research, your writer's voice, humanizing, editing, optimization and fact-checking from your Claude chats.
What MCP is
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets an AI assistant like Claude use other tools on your behalf. Ghosts is one of those tools. Once it is connected, your conversation stays in Claude and the work runs on Ghosts, with your projects, your writers and your plan's allowance.
What you can do from a chat
Brief and draft: start a brief from your notes and draft it in a trained writer's voice, with research, the fact check and the editors.
Bring a draft in: import a piece as pasted text or a link, choose whose voice the edits keep, then run the fact check, the Humanizer, Tighten, Tighten opening, Plain English and the final editor pass one at a time.
Train a writer: add samples, answer a short interview and retrain as your style changes, so the voice keeps up with how you write now.
Write a book: add chapters, check continuity across the manuscript and export it.
How to connect it
- In Claude, open the connector settings and add a custom connector.
- Paste the Ghosts MCP server address, which is the same for every account: https://mcp.ghosts.app/mcp
- Sign in to Ghosts when Claude asks, and approve the connection on the Ghosts consent screen.
- In a chat, ask Claude to use Ghosts: "List my Ghosts projects" is a good first request, because the answer shows which workspaces and projects the connection can reach.
Costs and control
Work in Claude draws on the same plan and allowance as the web app. The prices are the same. Claude asks before each paid step and tells you what changed. Nothing runs without a yes. Editing passes run one at a time, and each pass's edits are applied or discarded before the next one starts.
Two requests are turned away before anything is charged: an editing pass on an imported draft before you have said whose voice the edits keep, and a fact check when the draft has no sources and research is off.
Disconnecting
Remove the Ghosts connector in Claude's connector settings at any time. Your drafts stay in Ghosts.
